The UTS Academic Merit International Scholarship supports international students who wish to complete their undergraduate or postgraduate study at UTS.

About the scholarship

This scholarship is available to international students (except those from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) completing any UTS College academic program, and enrolling in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney in 2025 or 2026.

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must meet the following:  

• remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and 
• meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate (including Honours programs) or postgraduate coursework program; and 
• commence full?time and on campus (Sydney); and 

Must not be: 

• studying a UTS online degree or distance degree; or 
• a citizen of a country in the South Asia region; or  
• a recipient of another UTS scholarship or grant, or the UTS Alumni Advantage Program for the duration of this scholarship, and be a government sponsored student.
