Other eligibility requirements

Open to full-time registered students only
Satisfactory academic standing
Offered to a student entering the first year of any graduate degree at the University of Alberta
All fields of study are eligible
Selection based on academic achievement
Selection based on outstanding community service as demonstrated through research and/or involvement in community engagement and/or volunteer activities
Award is credited directly towards fees by distributing across terms (i.e. Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer) until CAN $5,000 is expended
Renewable for a second year contingent upon maintaining satisfactory academic standing
Any funds not used for fee credit purposes will be returned to GPS
Recipients may be invited by the Society to the annual general meeting of the Society to speak about their research; the Society welcomes invitations from recipients to any presentations which they make
Open to Canadian citizens.
Open to permanent residents.
Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
Open to applicants in masters programs.
Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
