MacEwan International Education Abroad Award

Other eligibility requirements

Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

Be registered in a Ministry-approved program at MacEwan University at the time of their activity abroad;

Be accepted to and participate in an eligible education abroad activity offered by MacEwan University outside of Canada; and

Be in good academic standing.

Eligible programs include:

Student exchanges with a MacEwan University partner institution abroad;

Summer programs with a MacEwan partner institution abroad;

Internships, practicums, or field placements with a MacEwan International- recognized organization or MacEwan partner institution abroad;

MacEwan University faculty-led study tours or field schools.

Additional terms and exclusions:

Student may apply for the award for each education abroad program in which they are participating, even if they fall within the same academic year;

Priority will be given to MacEwan International Education Abroad program participants and to students in programs with longer durations;

Priority will be given to participants in programs which do not have external funding;

Open Studies students are not eligible for this award;

Students participating in an exchange or summer program at an institution abroad as a visiting student are not eligible for this award;

Students may not apply for funding for a program that has already been completed.

Disbursement Criteria

Must be registered in a Ministry-approved program at MacEwan University at the time of their activity abroad.

Must be in good academic standing.
