Other eligibility requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

• Be an international student, meaning you are not a New Zealand citizen or resident. Check if you should choose Domestic or International.
• Be between the ages of 18–23 as of the start of Semester 1, 2026 (i.e., you must turn 18 by February).
• Be enrolled full-time in a 2 year diploma or bachelor’s degree or postgraduate programme at Otago Polytechnic, Dunedin campus.
• Commit to staying at Te Pā Tauira Student Village for the full academic year.
• Submit an accommodation application for Te Pā Tauira through the standard application process.

Please note:

Exchange students and study abroad students are not eligible for this scholarship.
