Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone with a passion for canine health and welfare, or for pet ownership, and who is intending to undertake research in this area.

What you'll be studying

This is a research scholarship. You will be enrolled or intending to enrol in a Master of Veterinary Studies or a Doctor of Philosophy within the School of Veterinary Science at Massey University.

Typically, either a master’s scholarship or a doctoral scholarship will be awarded annually, to be determined by the quality of applicants and available funds.

Eligibility criteria

You will be:

  • enrolled or intending to enrol in a Master of Veterinary Studies or a Doctor of Philosophy within the School of Veterinary Science, Massey University
  • undertaking research into the health and welfare of dogs, or undertaking research into the impact of pet ownership on owners (with a preference for the impact of dog ownership)
  • New Zealand citizens or permanent residents are preferred, but international student applications will be accepted and considered.
