Other eligibility requirements

The scholarship is open to all applicants who hold an offer for the MSc in Thermal Power and Propulsion, and candidates may be considered for both the October and March intakes. It is intended for applicants unable to pursue the course without financial support. 

Suitable for Applicants from: EU (non–European Partnership Discount), the UK, Rest of the world

Academic requirement for the scholarship only: a minimum of a UK upper second-class (2:1) honours degree, or an equivalent international qualification. Awardees will be selected based on the strength of their CV (including academic qualifications and relevant experience), their financial need.

There will be a shortlisting stage before interviews, so it is important to apply early as the number of offers is limited.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an MSc thesis project assigned by staff within the Centre for Propulsion and Thermal Power Engineering. Many successful applicants will have the opportunity to work on high-impact projects connected to major global industrial partners.

Scholarships are awarded for a specific intake and are not transferable; applicants who defer must reapply for consideration.

Applicants must have an offer of admission for the MSc in Thermal Power and Propulsion.
