The Always Essex Staff Discount Scholarship

Other eligibility requirements

The University is offering a tuition fee discount to applicants who are former employees of the University of Essex (UoE), UoE Campus Services or a UoE subsidiary company for a minimum of three consecutive years of more than 0.5 full time equivalent (FTE) hours throughout that period.

The discount is available to students studying at Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Masters and Research) level, who start their course in the 2026-27 academic year.

Eligibility

• Students must be former employees of University of Essex, UoE Campus Services or UoE subsidiary companies for a minimum of three consecutive years and for at least 0.5 FTE hours throughout that period.
• Students must register for full-time or part-time study at undergraduate or postgraduate (Masters or Research) level on a new course at UoE in the 2026-27 academic year (all intake points). Graduate Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma qualifications are also eligible.
• The discount is available for the first year of full-time study or for two years of part-time study and can only be awarded once, applicable to one course at Essex.
• This discount is restricted to students who are entirely self-funded (students receiving a repayable loan to fund their studies will be considered as self-funded).
• This discount is only available for students studying courses delivered by the University of Essex.
• Students studying University of Essex Online courses, delivered by the University of Essex.
• This award cannot be held in conjunction with any University of Essex scholarships or discounts, however, may be held in conjunction with UoE bursaries.
• Successful applicants should be available for promotional activities.
