This prestigious scholarship recognises applications from outstanding students who can demonstrate their skills and commitment to becoming future global leaders.

There are up to 30 Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships available, of £7,000 each, allocated as a fee waiver in the first year of study.

The scholarships are designed to assist international students, enrolling in September 2025 for the first time at Teesside University, to study an undergraduate degree or postgraduate taught degree.

To apply for one of these scholarships, you must:

  • be a genuine applicant intending to study an international fee-paying undergraduate programme at Teesside University (including Level 0) or postgraduate programme. Applicants enrolling on Level 3 (Foundation) and Level 8 (e.g. DBA and PhD) courses are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • start your course in September 2026
  • submit a Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship application for consideration
  • have paid the deposit amount as stated on your offer letter
  • made your conditional offer firm by accepting it
  • be an international fee payer at Teesside University studying on-campus in Middlesbrough or Darlington (Teesside University Online and Teesside University courses outside the UK are therefore excluded from this scholarship).

Awards are made at the discretion of the International Scholarships Committee, which may consider your financial background, prior academic performance, and other information provided through your application or at any subsequent interview.

Application requirements

    Applicants are required to submit a personal statement of no more than 500 words demonstrating:

    • your outstanding attributes, both personal and academic
    • your commitment to becoming a future global leader
    • how you will use your Teesside University degree to achieve your future ambitions.

    Successful recipients will be notified by email once the Scholarship committee has reviewed all applications.
