Other eligibility requirements

First-year students are considered for scholarships based on the strength of their applications. Students who apply to New York Tech without SAT/ACT scores will be eligible for scholarships. You may qualify for a first-year scholarship based on your GPA, average, and strength of your application estimated. Students with a GPA of 4.0+ and a High School Average of 100+ receive an award of USD $31,000. Those with a GPA between 3.75–3.99 and a High School Average of 95–99.99 receive USD $29,000. Students with a GPA of 3.5–3.74 and a High School Average of 90.0–94.99 are awarded USD $26,000. Applicants with a GPA of 3.20–3.49 and a High School Average of 84–89.99 receive USD $24,000, while those with a GPA of 3.0–3.19 and a High School Average of 80–83.99 receive USD $20,000.  

You will be eligible to receive this scholarship for a maximum of four years (or eight semesters) of continuous full-time undergraduate enrollment at New York Tech. If your studies go beyond this timeframe, you will have the option to appeal for a possible extension of your merit award. You must maintain the minimum cumulative GPA as required each semester by the scholarship and/or grant as per the catalog from your admission year into New York Tech. New York Tech scholarships and grants are for tuition only, divided equally between fall and spring semesters. They are not applicable to summer session attendance.
