About James Cook University Singapore

James Cook University (JCU) is a premier international university, renowned for its strong, industry-focused teaching programs and world-class research, which seeks to address critical challenges facing the tropical world. The university has four campuses, of which three are in Australia – in Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville – and one in Singapore.

The Singapore campus of James Cook University, fully owned by James Cook University Australia, was established in 2003 and is integral to the university’s focus on excellence. The campus facilitates collaborative learning and study techniques, and provides students access to a range of facilities and services to support their learning.

Study Abroad Singapore - Study in Singapore

Study at the Singapore campus of James Cook University while taking the opportunity to explore the rest of Asia in the midst of their high quality Australian education. The university’s Study Abroad Program enables students to study for 1 or 2 Trimesters (4 or 8 months), earning credits towards their home institution degree. As a study abroad student, students are able to choose subjects from a wide range of study areas that will add value to their degree.

Intercampus Exchange Program

The program is a great opportunity for students to spend up to two semesters at James Cook  University's Townsville and Cairns campuses in Australia. Students remain a Singapore-campus student and will study in Australia for one or two terms (S=semester or trimester).

Singapore campus

The university provides a full range of facilities and services at its Singapore campus, with the aim of supporting collaborative learning and study techniques. Students have great access to modernised lecture and seminar rooms, library and associated study facilities, computer laboratories, apple rooms and financial labs. There are services for academic work, IT and technical support, health and wellbeing, campus safety, and much more.

Additionally, students have access to a range of sporting facilities and can join a number of clubs and societies which are a great way to stay healthy and make friends from outside the classroom. The university aims to provide a full student experience, and not just a study program.
