Regardless of what is/has been said about San Diego State's reputation---I strongly believe that my experiences at San Diego State University prepared me for the corporate world. My advice to current/future students is to understand that high school and college are two different learning environments.

I think there's a "party school/Greek/snob" stigma associated with state that is definitely not the case. I've come across many diverse people in my two and a half years here, and this school has really broadened my horizons.

My advice is to get as much involved as you can in Greek life, AS, clubs, sports, whatever. This allows you to meet many interesting people.

Great education

Though my career ended up going in a different direction, I have used the educational foundation and job experience that I gained at San Diego State University throughout my life. I retired at the age of 26, travelled around the world and am now married with three children, one who will be graduating himself and is currently looking at schools including San Diego State University. I think my son would get a great education at San Diego State University.
