Stick to your major
The one thing that I recommend is to pick a major and stick with it. Once you get your degree, it does not seem to matter what it was in, businesses just want to know that you graduated. Also, if you have no idea what you want to major in, go to a JC and get your general ed requirements out of the way. You can save a lot of money and find out what you are interested in.

Get involved
Don't be afraid to get involved in campus activities beyond the parties and general roommate socializing.

Challenging
I love this school a lot. It was the best decision I have ever made. People party a lot here. It's still a University of California, meaning it is challenging, but there is always a party to go to. You need to balance school and fun. Great school and would highly recommend to all students. University of California, Santa Barbara is Great!!!

Best choice
Attending University of California, Santa Barbara was the best choice I have ever made. There is absolutely no other place like it. The campus is top-notch, the faculty are top-notch, the students are top-notch, the community is fun and lively. If I had a choice between University of California, Santa Barbara and any other school in CA, I would choose University of California, Santa Barbara with no reservations. Until you have lived the life of a Gaucho, you wouldn't understand.

Great education
I think University of California, Santa Barbara was the single best experience of my life. I have done some amazing things over the years, but the memories and friends I have made at University of California, Santa Barbara will always be tops. The education is great and the location is phenomenal. There is no better school for a well rounded experience in California and most likely, the US.

Work is interesting
For future students: being different and friendly, i.e. a nice approachable yet non-condescending vocal anarcho-capitalist, will get you noticed. Being a sweet person who follows the trends is less likely to get noticed.

Love the environment
University of California, Santa Barbara is a perfect blend of beach life and college town. Santa Barbara is hands-down the most beautiful city in California!!!! The academics here are very good, and the people are friendly. You will meet many smart people including faculty members and your fellow students. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I simply love this environment.
