There’s no place else I’d rather be!

Overall experience: I visited the University of Iowa for the first time in the Summer of 2012 on a short study abroad program. That is when I was first introduced to the amazing programs being offered here. Coming from a business background, I knew that is the field I want to make career in and with the quality programs being offered at the well-reputed Tippie College of Business, there was no looking elsewhere. I decided that this is where I want to pursue the rest of my undergraduation and applied for a transfer here. Ever since then, there has been no looking back. Coming to this University has been the best decision of my life – I have learned so much ever since. From the moment I set my foot on this campus, I have been surrounded by numerous opportunities to learn and grow. Besides facing the challenges of being an international student, I was constantly being forced to push the envelope. But as they say, the best learning happens outside your comfort zone. I had an opportunity to fulfill the Iowa challenge: to excel, stretch, engage, choose and serve. Besides, with the availability of all the resources and the presence of all the wonderful people around me who were always ready to help, it always felt like I had a home away from home. I have had an incredible experience studying at the University of Iowa – it feels great to be thriving in such a stimulating environment!
