Staffordshire University is an award-winning institution that ensures students are at the centre of everything on campus, ranked in the top 10 for social inclusion by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, and in the top 10 for job prospects in the StudentCrowd University Awards 2022.  87 percent of the university’s research was deemed ‘outstanding’ or ‘very considerable’ in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021.

Staffordshire University offers a wide range of courses covering subject areas ranging from art and design, business and computing to games design, engineering, law, healthcare, fashion and much more. Staffordshire University has its main campus in Stoke-on-Trent, has along with campuses in Stafford and London. Staffordshire University London is a technology-focused digital institute based in the capital of the UK, at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The Stafford campus is home to the newly inaugurated Centre for Health Innovation, which is home to the majority of the university’s courses on health and wellbeing.

Stoke-on-Trent is the perfect base for students from which to explore the rest of the country and other famous cities in Europe. Students also have a variety of options in terms of getting involved in the university community through more than 80 different clubs, societies and activities.

"I graduated from Staffordshire University with great employability skills and an excellent portfolio, something that’s essential in graphic design.

I worked to real challenges and live briefs, developed great communication and presentation skills and won the London-based brand agency, Coley Porter Bell, Shine Award. This meant a GBP 3,000 cash prize and a three-month work placement.

I now work for Coley Porter Bell full-time as a graphic designer. It’s proper work, with real commercial value, for global brand owners like Unilever and Nestlé."

What’s new

Staffordshire University opens new GBP 5.8 million Centre for Health Innovation

Staffordshire’s new state-of-the-art health centre has been designed in collaboration with leading industry organisations. Financed through local enterprise partnerships, it will feature more than 1,200 square metres of floorspace with a wide variety of spaces and facilities.

The Centre for Health Innovation boasts a cutting-edge Clinical Simulation Centre with the latest and most advanced health simulation technologies, designed to ensure that students can learn to the highest level of professional competency.

Opened in 2022 by Professor Mark Radford CBE, Chief Nurse for Health Education England and Deputy Chief Nursing Officer for England, the new facility will become home to a community of over 2,000 student nurses, midwives, operating department practitioners and paramedics. Situated on the Stafford campus, the new Centre becomes one of only five global Centres of Excellence which are recognised by medical simulation training product provider, CAE Healthcare, and will provide an innovative new platform for collaborations with the healthcare industry and its professional organisations.
