Established in 1891, the University of La Verne is a not-for-profit private university located in La Verne, California, about 35 miles from Los Angeles. The university comprises the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business, the LaFetra College of Education, the Cástulo de la Rocha College of Health and Community Well-Being, and the College of Law and Public Service. Courses are offered across seven regional campuses throughout Southern California, and online. Students have a choice of over 50 undergraduate programs, more than 20 master’s degrees, five doctorates, and six credential programs. Over 70 percent of University of La Verne students receive financial aid in some form. The university’s Office of Student Engagement and Leadership helps students get involved to help them maximize their La Verne experience through organizations, experience, and programming at the university.
