Train as an Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) with our postgraduate and graduate diploma. Gain practical experience delivering cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)-based support in schools and colleges.On this course, you’ll follow the National Curriculum for EMHP training.The programme combines theory and practice-based learning at the University, alongside clinical practice under supervision within a Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in England.EMHPs provide evidence-based, low-intensity cognitive behavioural-based interventions for children and young people who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, depression and/or behavioural difficulties.Your academic learning will enable you to:promote mental health and wellbeing support in schoolsprovide brief therapeutic interventions directly within the education setting (such as schools and colleges).These therapeutic interventions will support:children and adolescents with mild-to-moderate anxiety or depressionparents of children experiencing anxiety disorders and/or behavioural difficulties.
