As a Murdoch Engineering graduate, you could combine the skills you learn in maths, technology and science with creative thinking and problem solving to develop solutions for a better world. The Bachelor of Engineering Honours at Murdoch has been carefully developed with industry to provide you with the skills you will need in your future career.

As part of the course, you’ll learn from industry experts and gain 450 hours of professional work experience. Engage with industry and learn from experts to build a deep understanding of Engineering technology with a focus on emerging trends in Engineering, sustainability, and industrial needs.

A final Honours year is embedded in this degree, allowing you to apply everything you learn in your first three years of study on an individual research or industry-based project in an area of interest for you. This will let you put what you learn into practice and further your research and applied knowledge skills.

Students who have achieved a final scaled score of 55% or more in ATAR Mathematics Specialist, ATAR Physics or ATAR Chemistry may be able to replace PEN120 General Physics, MAS164 Fundamentals of Mathematics or CHE140 Fundamentals of Chemistry with optional units in Engineering to add further specialisation.

Entry requirements

For international students

Selection rank of 80, which can be met by: ATAR of 80 (adjusted or unadjusted); International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma score of 27 or higher; French Baccalaureate Grade average of 12 or higher; GCE A Levels Aggregate of 7 points (conditions apply); One successful Semester study at AQF 7; or One Year successful study at a recognised tertiary or higher education institution.
