The Master of Accounting and Finance is designed to provide you with specialised knowledge and skills in both accounting and finance disciplines.
It offers the right balance of practice and theory to prepare you for a successful career as an accounting or business professional and to cultivate research practices for independent, industry and discipline related research in a business context.
This course is flexible, with part-time options available. You will learn from experienced teachers and gain an understanding of the many issues affecting accounting and finance practice.
The role of accounting and finance professionals in contemporary society will be explored with reference to ethics, globalisation and sustainability issues.
What you will study
The Master of Accounting and Finance is a 72-unit course with core and advanced topics in areas including accounting fundamentals, financial management, financial accounting Issues, management and cost accounting, derivatives and risk management, investments and portfolio management, and new venture finance. Elective options include international business, industry placement and auditing.
