The Master of Finance is quantitatively oriented and provides both depth and breadth in finance, and will enhance your analytical and problem-solving abilities and develop your understanding of the principles of finance. As a student of this degree, you will explore finance, financial modelling, econometrics, trading, research and the analysis of financial markets. Your subjects use market data in real-time trading simulations and workshops for multi-asset portfolio and risk analysis, hedging, money market and foreign exchange instruments trading of all of which are conducted at real-time market rates. Entry requirements

For students from United States

Applicants must have successfully completed an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in a physical science, biomedical engineering disciplines having substantial physics and mathematics components, with a minimum average of 60%/Credit

For international students

2 year duration

You must have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or higher level qualification in any discipline.

1.5 year duration

You must have successfully completed:

An Australian Bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) or higher level qualification in Business (or a related discipline).


An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent overseas qualification) in any discipline and a minimum of three years full-time equivalent management experience

The RMIT Graduate Certificate in Finance.


An Australian Bachelor Honours degree with a major in Finance or a cognate discipline.

To study this program you will need to complete one of the following English proficiency tests:

IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT): minimum overall score of 79 (with minimum of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing)
Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 58 (with no communication band less than 50)
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
