Entry requirements

For international students

The following are minimum requirements to be considered for entry into the Biochemistry and Medical Genetics (PhD) program.To be considered for admission to the Biochemistry and Medical Genetics (PhD), you must haveA thesis-based master's degree (of at least two years in duration) or equivalent in biochemistry, genetics or a closely related fielda cumulative GPA of 3.5 over a 4.5 scale or equivalent and no grade less than C in courses taken during the master's programIn some cases, master's students who have made excellent progress in the first year of their program, may be considered for a transfer to the PhD program. Please refer to the Faculty of Graduate Studies supplementary regulations for more information.
