Our Instrumentation Engineering Technology diploma is your gateway to an exciting career in automation and control systems that power industries like mining, energy and manufacturing services. Get ready to combine your love for technology with hands-on learning and real-world problem solving. Saskatchewan Polytechnic offers the only accredited instrumentation engineering technology program in Saskatchewan. The three-year diploma is offered full time at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, Moose Jaw Campus. During five academic semesters and three Co-operative Education work terms, you’ll get practical training in: Process control and industrial automation: Dive into how complex control systems keep industries running smoothly and efficiently. Electronic, pneumatic and digital systems: Get hands-on experience working with the equipment that makes modern automation possible. Data acquisition and analysis: Learn to gather and analyze data to make systems work smarter. Safety and compliance: Understand how to keep operations safe and up to code with the latest industry standards. System troubleshooting and optimization: Develop your problem-solving skills to fix and enhance systems like a pro. Instrument measurement: Learn how to install, troubleshoot and calibrate industrial instruments to ensure precise operations.

Entry requirements

For international students

Grade 12 with a minimum of 60% in Pre-Calculus 30Physics 30. Previous Saskatchewan mathematics requirement also accepted: Minimum of 60% in Math B30 and C30. Alternative admission - Applicants who do not possess the academic qualifications for a program may be admitted if evidence of probable success can be established through an alternative admission assessment. Applicants are automatically considered for alternative admission. However, some specific admission requirements may still need to be met.
