Employers are always looking for skilled, adaptable staff who can continuously improve and innovate. This course gives you the skills and knowledge you need to work as a manager or leader an operational level.You'll start with the essential fundamentals of business. This includes basic accounting principles, interpreting financial performance and economic theory. You'll also cover fundamentals of commercial law, organisational management and communication and marketing. This strand then focuses on topics that will improve your knowledge and skill in leadership and management. This diploma is also the first year of the Toi Ohomai Bachelor of Applied Management (Business Management) or the University of Waikato Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Business Management (Hons). Once you have completed the Diploma in Business, you can pathway straight into the second year of any of these degrees.
