What will I learn?

The LLB Law with Politics covers all the Foundations of Legal Knowledge enabling you to pursue a legal career while developing acute political insight by analysing the wider political contexts in which law and legal systems are embedded. You will thrive in our strong, close-knit community with an unrivalled commitment to excellence in teaching and a curriculum designed to support your learning at every stage. The course delivers a rigorous understanding of legal principles as well as an examination of law in different theoretical and social contexts with a constant eye on regional and global developments. You will 'learn by doing' from your first week at university as you tackle real world problems using both your subjects, including the immersive learning events. You will work together with other students in small groups in both law and politics, taking part in mock trials and negotiations, developing communication strategies, drafting legal documents, and producing policy briefs. By co-creating your learning experience with law firms, parliament, local government, NGOs, and non-profit organisations we enable our graduates to be ‘the most useful person in the room’ for any organisation they join.
