The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) is similar to the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Geology and is designed to provide students with a foundation in the structure, composition, and geochemical and geophysical processes that take place within and on the surface of the Earth. This degree is suited to students who intend to work in the geological or environmental industry. The B.A. degree is intended for students seeking a career in mining, petroleum industry, geotechnical and environmental consulting, or related fields, as well as teaching in schools. This bachelor of arts program incorporates a short (two credit) summer field camp and coursework in cognate sciences.
