What will I learn?

The major in Human Capital Management and Leadership (HCML) prepares graduates to understand how the best organizations attract, develop and lead their talent to create sustained competitive advantage. The graduates will develop knowledge and skills in organizational behavior human resource management effective leadership diversity, equity, and inclusion and strategic management. The curriculum highlights understanding and implementing best evidence-based and ethical practices associated with human capital consulting, leading organizations, change management, employee engagement and motivation, cross cultural management, talent acquisition, employment law, compensation, executive decision making and strategy, human resource management, conflict resolution and negotiations. The HCML curriculum is approved by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) for alignment with the Society's undergraduate curriculum requirements.There has never been more of a need (or more of a demand) for experts that understand how to help companies engage and keep their best talent. Our graduates work in a wide range of vital roles across industries, including human capital consulting, human resource management, people analytics, leadership, and management. More and more C-suite roles are now dedicated to Human Capital. Chief Talent Officer, Chief Human Resource Officer, Chief Diversity Officer, and Chief People Officer are just a few of the top roles that ensure an organization is keeping people central to its mission.

Entry requirements

For international students

Basic requirements for admission as an international student to a bachelor's degree program include the following: Completion of formal secondary education in a pre-university curriculum. Completion must include the awarding of a diploma or the issuance of a leaving certificate or matriculation certificate generally recognized as the educational qualification necessary for admission to higher studies. English language ability at a level sufficient to undertake a full course of study. Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or American College Testing (ACT) scores (if applicable). International students are not required to provide an ACT or SAT score, but they may use the ACT or SAT to satisfy English language proficiency requirements. Copy of Passport or National ID card. All international applicants and international students who are visa holders in the US must also provide a copy of their current visa or immigration status.
