Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management

The Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management is interdisciplinary in nature with core coursework focusing on emergency management. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required to graduate. The program prepares students academically for employment in the public sector at the local, state, or federal level of government, as well as in nonprofit and private companies performing risk management, emergency preparedness planning and mitigation to support continuity of operations (COO) and sustainability of communities and private enterprise. Students will gain a thorough understanding of interagency cooperation, public/private partnership coordination, and communication as well as administrative issues involving policies and procedures, labor relations, and fiscal matters.
