The only graduate marketing program offered in the heart of downtown Boston, Suffolk's Master of Science in Marketing (MSM) builds your skills while connecting you with resume-boosting internships and career opportunities across the city.
Suffolk’s STEM-designated MSM program provides you with the knowledge and tools to make smart, strategic decisions in a rapidly changing marketplace. Learn how to sustain meaningful and valuable customer relationships, develop new markets, build distinguished brands, and create successful public and private enterprises-giving you a competitive edge in any sector. In as few as 9 months (full-time) or 21 months (part-time), you’ll gain the business marketing fundamentals and expertise to accelerate your career growth. Our MSM graduates go on to pursue rewarding and successful marketing careers, including CMO roles.

Additionally, the program's experiential requirement via a practicum or internship and optional travel seminars give you opportunities to acquire additional experience and qualifications in real-world settings.

Entry requirements

For international students

Students enrolling in graduate programs must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the United States, or an equivalent degree granted by an institution in another country (as determined by the Office of Graduate Admission).

English language requirements

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Suffolk welcomes both the TOEFL iBT and TOEFL Essentials. To be considered for full admission, a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 80, with no sub-score lower than 17, or a minimal TOEFL Essentials overall band score of 8.5, with no subsection below 8, is required; International English Language Testing System (IELTS). A minimum score of 6.5 (with no sub-score below 6.0) is required to be considered for full admission. PTE-Academic (Pearson Test of English). A minimum score of 65 is required to be considered for full admission. Duolingo. A minimum score of 110 is required to be considered for full admission, along with the following subscores:

  • Literacy: 110
  • Conversation: 100
  • Comprehension: 120
  • Production: 85

Application deadline: Fall semester: International applicants: July 15, then rolling; Spring semester: International applicants: December 1, then rolling.
