What will I learn?

The M.S. in Mathematics is the most rigorous program at the master's level and is designed for students who intend to advance to a Ph.D. program in mathematical sciences, as well as for other students who are looking for a challenge. The department hosts regular colloquia, seminars and lectures that allow students to network and stay connected to faculty. Each event features speakers from across the spectrum of mathematics research. Students work alongside faculty who have research interests in everything from partial differential equations to scientific computing.
