What will I learn?

Wayne State's Master of Science in Physics prepares students who recently completed their undergraduate studies to deepen their knowledge of physics and the scientific process. For some students, the master's degree will be used as part of a continuing Ph.D. program (under Plan C, for details see our physics graduate advisor). For others, it will be a terminal degree leading to employment in government laboratories, high-tech companies, teaching professions and other occupations.

To be considered for graduate admission, an applicant must hold or be completing an earned baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a college or university of recognized standing and have adequate preparation with discernible ability to pursue graduate studies in the major field elected
