To ensure graduates are given the best employment opportunities, the University Careers Service offers support for 5 years after graduation. This excellent support includes access to UK and Worldwide graduate and work opportunities, 1 to 1 appointments for CV checks, practice interviews, employer presentations, alumni networking evening and advise for postgraduate study.
As well as appointments and events, MyCareerHub is an online system available to students which advertises internships and graduate job opportunities. In 2018, 94 percent of graduates were in work or further study six months after graduation (provided by the University of Strathclyde Strategy & Policy team).
The University of Strathclyde prides itself on maintaining excellent relationships with different businesses, and voluntary and public sector links across the world. The Technology and Innovation Centre on the university campus is home to prominent companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Scottish Power and the Weir Group.
In 2021 the University of Strathclyde open the new GBP 60 million Learning and Teaching Building. Located in the centre of campus this pioneering hub is home to student support services, Strathclyde Doctoral School and Strathclyde’s Students Union. It is a collective space, comprising of a variety of first-class learning and teaching faculties.

The University of Strathclyde Glasgow has a number of different scholarships available to international undergraduate and postgraduate students. Available for both the pathway programmes and degree courses, scholarships can cover both tuition fees and living expenses. There are also some other partial funding opportunities that can contribute towards university costs.
Scholarships are available for the Undergraduate Foundation Programme, International Year One BBA and Pre-Masters Programme. These are limited in availability and are awarded on a first come first served basis. After successful completion of a pathway programme, students can be awarded scholarships each academic year if they achieve grades of 60 percent.

Combined scholarships can also be awarded to students that are self-funded. These are provided by both the Strathclyde International Study Centre and the University for studying a pathway programme as well as undergraduate or postgraduate study.
International students are required to have a certain level of English language proficiency to study at the university. Strathclyde University accept a number of English language tests as proof of English language skill.

As well as English language proficiency, there are specific course and country-based entry requirements. International students who do not meet all of the academic requirements can study preparation programmes. These are taught on campus and have been designed to introduce students to the style of teaching at the University of Strathclyde. Once this has been successfully completed, students can advance to degree-level of study.
Teaching at Strathclyde University consists of tutorials, seminar-style classes and large group lectures. As well as this, students are expected to participate in independent study. Students are given all of the information they require for their course, but are encouraged by the teaching staff to better understand their subject.
Students are also given the opportunity to receive the support of a personal tutor. The personal tutors help students to keep progressing their studies further and can offer advice on any projects or topics they are struggling with.
