About the accommodation

GW Housing and partner offices provide numerous living options for students on both the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses. The university has developed a seven year strategy to update and renovate its residential facilities to continue to provide residence halls that help support the academic experience The type and scope of renovations will vary based upon the building, taking into account feedback from campus residents, current building conditions, system upgrades that may be necessary and availability of funding. All first- and second-year students at GW are required to live in on-campus housing. The residence halls includes Clark Hall, Cole Hall, Hensley Hall, Lafayette Hall, Madison Hall, Merriweather Hall, Mitchell Hall, Potomac House, Somers Hall, Thurston Hall, and West Hall.
