A country can progress only when every child receives the basic education they deserve, especially those who are financially handicapped and seek assistance. And this is exactly the K.C.Mahindra Scholarship programme aims at. Founded nearly 60 years ago, in 1956, this scholarship is aimed at Indian students who dream about pursuing their postgraduate degree in foreign countries.

The trustees of the scholarship provide an interest free loan to the applicants. The scholarship amount awarded is maximum of Rs 4 Lakhs per candidate, except 3 K.C. Mahindra fellow scholars who receive 8 Lakhs each.

K.C. Mahindra Scholarship application pre-requisites

The application forms are available at the K.C.Mahindra Education Trust which is situated in Mumbai. You can download the forms at www.nanhikali.org and should submit in the specified format. The completed forms should be submitted by end of March. A shortlisted candidate is always called for an interview. The interview date is usually confirmed to the candidate by end of May and the final interview is held in the month of July.

The applicants' aptitude will also be a major factor in getting the scholarship. The applicants should also state all sources of financial income when they apply for the scholarship. All the financial documents should be signed by the candidate’s parents or the person who is ready to give guarantee for the repayment of the loan. This scholarship programme is ideal for those who have their career graph chalked. Now all you need to do is take that first step to complete the education requirements.
