Why Should a Student Consider Singapore as a Study Destination?

Singapore has become one of the most happening cities for higher education globally. The Garden City-State is amongst the top 15 best student cities, as per QS Best Student Cities ranking 2017. This destination is quite a promising option for many international students.

  • Singapore’s proximity to India makes it a much preferred choice amongst Indian students and their parents. Most parents or guardian generally prefer Singapore over other study destinations as it's only a five hour flight from India, unlike the US and UK, and gives them more connectivity with their children.
  • Studying in Singapore, in comparison with that of the US and UK, is less expensive, making it a more affordable choice. The general cost of living in Singapore is much lower than in countries like the USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
  • Singapore has a promisingly stable economy which doesn’t show much fluctuation in job markets and does not have many variations in work permit regulations.
  • Singapore is a hub of over 7,500 MNCs. Students have bright chances of finding employment post studies. The city ranks 11th in the employer activity index. And most employers are willing to sponsor the students once they accept the job offer after completing their studies
  • The island city-state has two globally popular universities, ie., NUS and NTU that ranks 12th and 13th, respectively, as per the QS rankings 2017.
  • Besides being famous for its globally acclaimed education opportunities, the overall crime rate in Singapore is lower and the living standards are quite high.
  • Singapore gives you a combination of adventure plus opportunities galore. It ranks 31st in student experience index.
