Whatuni is a university comparison website by IDP Connect. Every year, they release the WUSCAs or the Whatuni Student Choice Awards, listing the best UK universities for that year. The rankings are unique as they are entirely based on student reviews. More than 39,000 reviews were collected this year to decide the winners across 12 categories. The course curriculum is designed well to lay the foundations of various subjects in 1st sem, and we apply those learnings during our assignments and in the 2nd sem. FAQs about the Whatuni Awards for the best universities in the UK

How are the WUSCA rankings different from other university rankings?

The awards are different from the traditional rankings as the winners are decided by students. 

How are the reviews collected for picking the best universities in the UK?

• Students must submit their reviews within the eligibility period to be counted towards the WUSCAs. Reviews can be submitted through the online form on the Whatuni website. 
• Students also have the option to submit their reviews during the on-campus review collection conducted by Whatuni.

When were the winners announced?

The Whatuni Student Choice Awards were announced on 22 May 2025.

Who are the students eligible to submit reviews?

Any student currently studying at the university, no matter their level of study or years of study, can submit a review. Students may be contacted for verification purposes. This time, more than 35,000 students had submitted their reviews.

Are all UK institutions automatically considered for the rankings?

No. To be part of the WUSCAs, a university should be listed on the Whatuni website. There are more eligibility requirements based on the number of enrolments, non-UK enrolments, a minimum threshold of enrolments and a minimum number of reviews.
