TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language is a test that evaluates an individual’s ability to understand and use the English language in an academic setting.

This test is necessary when a non- native English speaker is trying to take admission in a college or university of an English speaking country. Also, institutions like licensing bodies, scholarship programs, government agencies, businesses might require this test. The TOEFL score has a validity of two years. After the two years, the scores will not be reported officially. The reason for this is that the candidate’s proficiency of the language may have changed significantly over the two year. Only the latest TOEFL score is considered by the universities and colleges.
