In this video Katy talks about the ideal qualities that she looks for in applicants to the University of Glasgow. She says that passion and commitment to study are important factors. The applicants should be passionate about their studies and have a fair amount of subject knowledge. They should have a clear idea of what they wish to do and the next step in their academic / professional path.

They should be self-motivated to study - as the master's program is intense and students should be confident enough to study in a group and also study independently. The postgraduate programs need a fair bit of hard work and dedication. The admission officer should be convinced that the student is serious about studies and will stay and complete the full course of study.
