The USA remains one of the destinations of choice for international students aiming to study business degrees, including the coveted MBA qualification. We have turned our attention to investigating which universities in the USA are rated top for the subject.

For our list of the best universities for business degrees and the best business schools in the USA, we have made use of three key ranking lists. These are the QS World University Rankings 2021, the Times Higher Education Rankings 2021 and the U.S. News & World Report.

1.Harvard University

A university that often sits at the summit of many ranking lists, Harvard University is regarded also regarded as one of the top institutions for business in the USA. The QS World University Rankings 2021 has the university at number one in both the USA and the world for the subject. Further, the U.S. News & World Report ranks Harvard’s business school at number five in the USA.

Harvard’s business school is known for both its global appeal and international outlook. In the 2020-2021 academic year 45 per cent of students on doctoral programmes in the school were international students. On the Harvard MBA programme, international students from 71 countries accounted for 37 per cent of all of those enrolled.

The university’s business school has an extensive alumni network of over 85,000 graduates, providing students with a network of expertise and opportunities.
