All you need to know about TOEFL

The TOEFL, Test Of English as a Foreign Language, is an internet-based test that tests an individual’s skills in understanding and usage of the English language. This test is taken as a measure of one’s proficiency in the language especially for non-native English speakers who wish to pursue study in American universities and colleges. This test is administered by the Educational Testing Service or the ETS. 

Validity

The score of your TOEFL test stands valid for a period of two years. Scholarship programs, government agencies, businesses, and even licensing bodies may need this test. 

Evaluation

The TOEFL evaluates your skills in listening, reading, speaking, and writing in relevance with academia.

Location and Format 

The format of the TOEFL test you take relies on the location of TOEFL test center; it could be either a TOEFL iBT test or a TOEFL Paper-based test.

Totally, there are 4,500 TOEFL test centres in 165 countries that you can take the test in. This test may be retaken as many times as you desire. This test will cost you from US$160 to US$250 depending on the location of your test centre.
